An interesting example of the eternal nature of human mythos
The space may be digital, but the human nature and course of history are just as real as the real world. 2b2t captures the internet as a space, it captures it's age and vastness in a way nothing else does. And on an even greater scale, it captures the real world in a raw primordial sense, a surreal dream-state replica of human existence.
The shape of samsara shifts beneath the veil of our social constructs
The shallow form of entertainment is an unintended abstraction of the higher form of existence
The higher form of existence always emerges from the lower, more primal forms of meaning
The Post-Industrial mythos is imposed upon the ancient, but what is timeless remains
Because even in our entertainment, our fiction, our games, we can't help but be human

in singleplayer, old minecraft is extremely ozymandian
you can feel the weight of the time and emptyness in the music especially
you could wander forever and always find more emptyness. you can build a city as grand as possible and it will always be empty.
the weight of the emptyness and vastness and time is so overwhelming, especially for something fictional
it left a big impression on me as a kid
